Posted 23 Jun 2018

Marc is a qualified journalist with more than 20 years’ experience in sports and news reporting across print, online and social media.

The Elena Baltacha Foundation are extremely fortunate to secure Marc as part of the developing Foundation team. Marc has a love of tennis, and more importantly great experience of journalism in the sport. We are pleased to welcome him on board.

He was tennis correspondent at regional newspaper Cambridge News for nine years, during which time he reported on local players at Wimbledon and Nottingham and covered their exploits as they competed around the world.

Marc interviewed a succession of high profile tennis personalities, including Elena Baltacha herself and coach Nino Severino, now chairman of the Foundation, in 2009.

Other interviewees included legendary coach Nick Bollettieri, former players Tim Henman and Greg Rusedski, and Roger Draper when he was chief executive of the Lawn Tennis Association.

During his time at the News, Marc provided extensive coverage of up and coming junior players as well as the tennis scene across Cambridgeshire in an effort to generate more interest and encourage others to follow the sport.

He is excited to be working with the Foundation to help promote and enhance its activities and to ensure Bally’s amazing legacy continues to flourish.
