A Dinner Party With a Difference

As anyone associated with the Elena Baltacha Foundation will know, there's a real feeling of being part of something at EBAT. This family feeling is felt by all; the coaches, players and parents, and it lends itself perfectly to some great social events throughout the year. We have groups of parents often meeting up for lunch and last year's Christmas Party was a wonderful celebration of everything Elena and Nino have started. And with such a diverse group of people involved in the Academy it was perhaps only a matter of time before we saw our first themed event.

Blessed Be The Land...

Towards the end of September, the Senah family, who are from Zimbabwe, prepared a very special meal for a group of players and parents. The Zimbabwe themed dinner party consisted of a main course of Sadza, followed by a dessert. It was the first of many such nights that Nino Severino has planned. 

The evening was a huge success with many EBAT parents helping out and our young players throwing themselves into the spirit of the night.
